Pentadeca Arginate

In plain English

Pentadeca Arginate (PDA) shares BPC-157’s 15-amino-acid design, prepared as an arginate salt for added stability. It became popular as an alternative to BPC-157 and is used for the same goals: tendons, joints, muscles and the gut.

What it's used for

  • Tendon, ligament and muscle healing
  • Joint recovery
  • Gut repair

Benefits

Published research on PDA itself is very limited; most of what is known comes from the BPC-157 studies it is based on. Users report results similar to BPC-157, with some finding it gentler or longer-lasting.

How it works

In simple terms: it is expected to work like BPC-157, promoting repair and new blood vessel growth.

It is thought to share BPC-157’s effects on growth factor signaling, nitric oxide and blood vessel growth. The arginate form is intended to improve stability.

Development history

  • 2020s: Introduced as an alternative to BPC-157.

Typical protocols

Educational information only, not medical advice. The information below describes how this peptide has been used in research, on prescription labels or by users. It is not a recommendation. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing anything.

These ranges are what users commonly report.

Use Dose Frequency Length
Healing 250–500 mcg 1–2 times daily 4–6 weeks

Cycling

Commonly run for 4–6 weeks, then a break.

Administration options

Subcutaneous injection, often near the injured area.

Reconstitution and dosing calculator

Usually comes in 5 mg or 10 mg vials, mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water.

1Peptide in the vial

The total amount printed on the vial label.

2Bacteriostatic water added

More water makes each dose a bigger, easier-to-measure draw. It does not change how much peptide is in the vial.

3Dose per injection

Use the dose from your protocol or your clinician. 1 mg = 1,000 mcg.

4Your syringe

All three are U-100 insulin syringes: 100 units = 1 mL. Smaller barrels make small doses easier to read.

    Side effects and safety

    • Users report it is generally well tolerated: injection-site redness, nausea or lightheadedness occasionally.
    • Very little safety data in people.
    • People with active cancer are usually advised to avoid peptides that promote blood vessel growth.
    • Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

    Common stacks

TB-500: the same pairing commonly used with BPC-157.

    Storage

Powder: refrigerate or freeze. After mixing: refrigerate at 2–8 °C and use within about 3–4 weeks.

    Compare with

    • BPC-157: the original, with far more research.
    • TB-500: a different healing peptide that pairs with either.

    Frequently asked questions

    PDA or BPC-157?

BPC-157 has much more research behind it. PDA is newer, and users report similar results.
